Novin implemented LOGIA WMS in 2022 and quickly achieved more structured work processes. The system has produced good results and has, among other things, increased efficiency in the warehouse, minimized incorrect deliveries, and reduced the time spent on status counting.

Novin's warehouse was initially organized according to the geographical origin of the wines and without any inventory control. As a result, it was up to the warehouse operators to keep track of warehouse locations, stock levels, different vintages of wine, expiration dates, and much more.

As the business grew, it required more space and structured and optimized workflows. Therefore, Novin decided to build a new 4000 m² warehouse and implement the warehouse management system LOGIA, which was put into operation in September 2022.

With LOGIA, Novin has a complete overview of incoming and outgoing orders, pallets, and shipments. LOGIA manages all processes from goods receipt to shipment and ensures efficient handling of full pallets in the wholesale warehouse.

In addition, the system has the functionality and flexibility to ensure that Novin meets customers' specific requirements, such as the packing of display pallets, customized pallet heights, and sending orders directly to the customer's customers.

During packing, the various types and numbers of pallets are registered. This gives the carrier an overview of the pallet types and number of pallets to be delivered when picking up the shipment. This functionality improves the process for Novin and the carrier and ensures that the pallet accounts are aligned.

LOGIA is integrated with Novin's ERP system, Visma, and the freight ordering system CoolRunner.

The Logistics Manager at Novin, Nicolai Thomsen, is pleased with the WMS solution and says: "With LOGIA WMS, we have complete control of our inventory. We keep track of expiration dates and have gained much more efficient workflows." He also elaborates that the warehouse management has reduced internal transportation and significantly reduced picking errors.

With LOGIA, the scope of the annual inventory counting is reduced significantly. Before the implementation of LOGIA, the warehouse was closed for a week, and all employees were involved in the count. Now, the inventory count is ongoing and can be completed in a single morning.
